As this empty nest couple began to use their home more during retirement, they realized they needed some additional space.  The husband now wants to spend more time tinkering and they want a secluded space for overnight guests.  Here’s how we helped!

Within the Footprint

Waterfront homes, that fall under Critical Area Guidelines, have strict requirements on footprint usage so we maximized the existing footprint by creating a workshop, away from the primary living area, and secluded within the garage area.

Guests, Airbnb & More

The new space above the garage was fully functional as an area for overnight guests, as an Airbnb, or as a separate living space.   It includes a full kitchen, small living area, bedroom and bath.
